That which begins as simple documentation of the mundane can suddenly become a carnival of mirrors, other dimensions, shifting gravities, broken connections, and unexpected entrainments--each and any of which equate to a poetic language of movement and sound.

  •  Ana Halprin, pioneer of experimental form of post modern dance, film maker of dance films

  • Carl Jung, Swiss psychologis and psychoanalyst

  • Busby Berkley, 1950's Hollywood director & choreographer of  highly original musical and dance productions

  • F.W. Murnau's film, "Nosferatu"

  • Marina Abramovic, performance artist,, writer, and art filmmaker.

 

      

And perhaps the most important influence of all-- my dance teachers who also taught me about the artists path, its blood sweat and tears, as well as its healing and empowering aspects.
